We're the Bay of Islands' only dedicated snorkeling experience. Hop in for an epic underwater adventure filled with countless fish varieties. Small groups with no waiting around for the scuba divers Our trips feature two fantastic spots, with up to 1.5 hours of in water exploration. The primary focus is the No take zone of Deep Water Cove, known for its clear waters and diverse marine life. Explore archways, marvel at underwater wonders, and have fun with playful fish. We provide wetsuits for added comfort in the warm waters, as well as a hot water rinse and a cup of soup post-dip.

Full Description

You can be picked up from either Russell or Paihia wharves, with your trip beginning with a briefing of what the trip will bring, the 35-minute journey out to the snorkelling spots of Deep Water Cove (Rahui reserve, so no fishing allowed). Travelling out, you'll pass many islands along the way, getting a commentary from the passionate team guiding you. After getting suited up, entering the water is super easy with the drop-down platform, even getting out is a breeze, fish galore, and so many different varieties, your jaw will be sore from smiling. Meeting Point

IMPORTANT: Please apply sunscreen BEFORE arriving at the boat, as sunscreen needs to soak into the skin, which makes it work and does not seep into the water by the reef. We ask that the Sunscreen application on the boat not be done, as it makes everything very slippery and causes a hazard!

Please also be at the pick-up point 15 minutes before departure time.

Travel light, wear your swimmers/togs under your clothes, and visit a toilet before arriving at the boat.

RUSSELL PICK UP: Russell Wharf is usually on pier 3 or 5

One trip a day, 9 am, two trips a day, 8 am or 1.15 pm.

Russell parking is best by the school for a few hours.

PAIHIA PICK UP: Paihia wharf, usually on pier 11

One trip a day, 9.15 am, two trips a day, 8.15 am or 1 pm.

Parking in Paihia is free along the waterfront south of the wharf.

We can provide a personal assistance and floatation aid for those less confident in water, even just a pool noodle makes such a difference. Snorkelling in calm waters from an anchored boat provides a no pressure situation.
We have a well-equipped first aid kit and our crew are fully trained in all situations. The waters here in NZ are safe waters to swim in, without the regular dangers that other countries have to worry about.
Registered with Maritime NZ, we comply with the health and safety on the water regulations, and we carry on board all forms of communication and equipment required.
