Cable Bay Adventure Park

The Cable Bay Adventure Park is Nelson's adventure playground and is located less than 15 minutes north of Nelson’s city centre. The Adventure Park's signature ride is the Skywire experience, a 3.2km flying fox experience with a mix of adrenaline and scenery suitable for almost all ages (min height 1.2m). Other activities include Quad biking, rock climbing, and E-bike / Mountain Bike rental. The park also operates a small petting zoo, eel feeding, and Archery (3rd party operator). An expanding range of Mountain bike and walking trails is also available for use by the public free of charge. The park's onsite Base café is also open year-round with a range of in-house and local products, including Pomeroy’s coffee, Chia sisters’, Hop Federation and Eddyline craft beer, Seifrieds wine, Appleby's ice cream, and goodies from food forest catering. The park is open all year round except for Christmas Day, with longer opening hours over the summer months for people to enjoy the balmy Nelson summer evenings. The Cable Bay Adventure Park is a certified carbon-zero company by Toitu Envirocare and has a large range of environmental projects taking place on the property. These include a major riparian restoration along the main river edge, an on-site native plant nursery, and an extensive predator control program.
