Meeting Point

Meet at the orange boat tour flag on the grass at the marina entrance opposite 1 Esplanade, Whitianga. Our vessel is located on Pier Z in the Whitianga Marina.

Additional Information

We supply masks and snorkels. If you want to swim or snorkel, bring your swimsuit
and a towel. And although we have plenty of shaded areas to sit, bring your sunscreen if you want to sit out in the sun.
We have Nespresso coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cold drinks, and snacks for purchase onboard.
We are fully wheelchair accessible.

Are you wheelchair accessible?

Yes! We are wheelchair accessible. We have a ramp from the boat onto the marina pontoon and several areas on the boat to enjoy the sights from a wheelchair.

Are the seated areas covered from the rain, sun or wind?

Yes, we have seats for everyone out of the rain, sun or wind, and also have areas to sit in the sun if preferred.

Can we get out of our seats and move around?

Yes, absolutely. You can move around the boat to get the best view, including out onto the back platform to get group photos in front of Cathedral Cove and other sights.

Are there refreshments available onboard? Can we bring our own?

Yes, we have Nespresso coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cold drinks and snacks for purchase. You are also welcome to bring your own food and refreshments (not alcohol though).

What do we need to bring?

If you are snorkeling or swimming, bring your swimsuit and a towel. We provide the masks and snorkels. Also bring sunscreen if you are planning on sitting out in the sun, and a light jacket if the day is overcast.

Where can we park our car?

There are plenty of unrestricted time parking spaces close to our meeting point. We have a parking map on our website www.mercurybaydiscoveries.co.nz if you need further information on where they are.

Can I have warm freshwater shower after my snorkel or swim?

Yes, we have a warm freshwater shower available to use after your swim.

Do you have a toilet?

Yes, there is a toilet onboard.
