The Ocean Safari will take you over Kaikōura’s wildlife colonies and provide you with breath-taking views of the whales, the mountains and the Pacific Ocean.

Kaikōura is also located on the migratory routes for Humpback whales, Southern Right whales, Orca, and even Blue whales, giving you the opportunity to discover more species and colonies dependent on the season.

We will take you past the stunning vistas of the Seaward Kaikōura Mountain Ranges, as well as the Kaikōura Peninsula, and the vastness of the Pacific Ocean.

Meeting Point

Please check 30 minutes prior to your flight time at the main terminal of the Kaikoura Airport, located just a 7-minute drive south of Kaikoura township. Here, our friendly staff will guide you through our electronic check-in system before carrying out your safety and whale briefings.

Please note, a free shuttle service to the airport is available should you need it, but must be arranged at least 24 hours before your sceduled flight time. 

There is a lot of free parking available at the airport.
