Trust us, Queenstown looks much different from up here. Enjoy the drama of Lake Whakatipu and the surrounding mountains from our landing point on top of The Remarkables.

One of only two mountain ranges in the world to run directly North-South, and spectacular to boot, The Remarkables is aptly named. This excursion takes you over the winding Shotover and Kawarau rivers and up to this dramatic mountain range for our landing – and if you’re flying in winter we may even land in the snow! Take in the beauty of Lake Whakatipu, Queenstown and the surrounding mountains (and definitely take some photographs) before we head back to base.

Meeting Point

Check-in 15 minutes prior to departure at Heliworks Queenstown, 64 Grant Road, Frankton Queenstown 9304.

We can also pick you up from Queenstown Central outside Alpine Supermarket on Athol Street, Queenstown Central. Please indicate at the time of booking if you need to be picked up. You'll need to meet at this departure point 30 minutes prior to your flight time.

Cancellation policy

Full refund if cancelled up to 24 hours before activity starts.

Good weather is required for this experience. If we need to cancel due to poor weather, you'll be offered a different date or a full refund.

There is a minimum number of travellers for this experience. If the minimum isn't met and we need to cancel, we will offer a different date/experience or a full refund.

They are inclusive of GST.rn• A minimum of two passengers are required for most scenic flights.rn• Any cancellations made within 24 hours of departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee. If passengers ‘no-show’ for a flight, 100% of the fare will apply. If we cannot operate due to weather and as a result, passengers are unable to fly, no cancellation fees will apply.rn• Flights depart on demand and are subject to availability.rn• Flights depart from our base in Queenstown.rn• Children and infants must be accompanied by a full fare paying adult.rn• For the purpose of aircraft weight and balance and in accordance with the Civil Aviation Authority rules and regulations, we require all passenger weights at the time of booking.
