Our award-winning Original Canopy Tour is eco-tourism at its absolute best – in fact, we have been voted TripAdvisor’s #1 Nature Activity on the Planet!

We will take you into an ancient, pristine forest where you’ll see and hear lots of beautiful native birds up close - if you’re lucky you may even get to hand feed them. You'll soar across 600m of ziplines during this three-hour adventure, which is suitable for ages 6+.

Please wear a warm layer or two as it is colder in the forest, enclosed footwear, and any medication you may require. The minimum age for the Original Canopy Tour is years old, and the minimum age for the Ultimate Canopy Tour is 10 years old. Also, please note that there is a maximum weight limit of 120kg. Maximum limit of 10 people per departure.
Not recommended for pregnant women over 15 weeks.

Full refund if cancelled up to 24 hours before activity starts.

Good weather is required for this experience. If we need to cancel due to poor weather, you'll be offered a different date or a full refund.

There is a minimum number of travellers for this experience. If the minimum isn't met and we need to cancel, we will offer a different date/experience or a full refund.

CANCELLATION POLICY Full price cancellation will be charged for any cancellations made within 24 hours of your tour time. Cancellations made outside of the 24-hour period will not incur any charge. Changes to bookings within 24 hours of the tour will be subject to availability and will incur a $50 admin fee. A cancellation charge of the total booking value will apply to customers who fail to arrive at their pre-booked departure time. Rotorua Canopy Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour due to weather conditions, hazard identification, and events beyond our control that will interfere with the safe operation of the business. Customers affected will be offered alternative tour times or full refunds. MEDICAL CONSIDERATIONS Before you come on tour with us you will be asked to disclose any medical conditions or disabilities. Medical conditions or disabilities will not automatically exclude you from taking part in the tour. If you have concerns about a condition, please contact our team prior to booking. Unfortunately, we do not take anyone more than 20 weeks pregnant on our canopy tours.
