Enjoy a very cool experience with our epic snow landing over Queenstown. Pack your coat and your camera for a truly elevated experience.

Winter Wonderland awaits with this snow-filled sojourn. It will be 30 minutes that you never forget as we take you up into the mountains and touch down in the snow for some chilly but spectacular photography opportunities (and some if-you-dare snowball fights!).

The return flight will give you expansive views over the Whakatipu basin.
Most of our flights during winter will get you to the snow. We also have an Alpine Snow Landing available at Heli Glenorchy.

Meeting Point

Check in 15 minutes prior to departure at Heliworks Queenstown, 64 Grant Road, Frankton, Queenstown 9304. 

We can also pick you up from Queenstown Central outside Alpine Supermarket on Athol Street, Queenstown Central. Please indicate at the time of booking if you need to be picked up. You'll need to meet at this departure point 30 minutes prior to your flight time. 

Cancellation policy

Full refund if cancelled up to 24 hours before activity starts.

Good weather is required for this experience. If we need to cancel due to poor weather, you'll be offered a different date or a full refund.

There is a minimum number of travellers for this experience. If the minimum isn't met and we need to cancel, we will offer a different date/experience or a full refund.

• All prices quoted are valid until 30th September 2024 • Prices are quoted per person in NZ currency. They are inclusive of GST. • A minimum of two passengers are required for most scenic flights. • Any cancellations made within 24 hours of departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee. If passengers ‘no-show’ for a flight, 100% of the fare will apply. If we cannot operate due to weather and as a result, passengers are unable to fly, no cancellation fees will apply. • Flights depart on demand and are subject to availability. • Flights depart from our base in Queenstown. • Children and infants must be accompanied by a full fare paying adult. • For the purpose of aircraft weight and balance and in accordance with the Civil Aviation Authority rules and regulations, we require all passenger weights at the time of booking. Once we have received and reviewed this information we will be able to confirm the booking. • We reserve the right to change prices at any time without further notice.

Are there any weight or health restriction for participants?

Yes, for safety and flight balance, all passengers must provide their weight at the time of booking. While there isnt a strict individual weight limit, the combined weight of all passengers affects aircraft selection and seating arrangements. Additionally, passengers should be in good health to participate in the tour.

What should I wear for the glacier environment?

Closed-toe, sturdy shoes, warm layers and a jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen and camera are recommended.

What happens if poor weather affects the flight?

Flights are weather-dependent. If conditions aren’t suitable, you’ll be offered a rescheduled flight or a full refund.
