Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of telescopes or equipment are used during the tour?

The core stargazing experience centers around a research-grade 14" Celestron CGE Pro 1400XLT telescope housed in a solar-powered 3.5 m rotating observatory dome. In addition to this, the setup includes accessories like CCD cameras, a professional spectrograph, and a Coronado PST H-alpha solar telescope.

Is the stargazing tour suitable for children andelder people?

Yes, the tour is suitable for a wide audience, including children and older adults.

Do I need to bring anything with me, like warm clothing or a flashlight?

Yes, participants are encouraged to bring warm clothing, as nights under the stars can be chilly. A flashlight, preferably with a red light to preserve night vision, can be helpful.
