Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any experience to join a class?

Not at all! Our daily classes are designed for absolute beginners, and our friendly tutors will guide you every step of the way.

Do I need to book my tickets in advance?

We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time. Our class sizes are small to give everyone quality time with the tutor, so spots can fill quickly, especially during holiday periods.

What age groups are the classes suitable for?

There’s no set age limit for children, but they’ll need to be tall enough to use the pottery wheel comfortably and able to stay focused for the session. For younger kids or those who prefer a different pace, we also offer fun and creative hand-building options.

How long is each class?

Our pottery classes run for 1 hour and 30 minutes. This gives you plenty of time to get hands-on at the wheel, learn the basics, and create something memorable to take home.

What should I wear to a pottery class?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little messy. We provide quality aprons to help keep you clean, but pottery can be hands-on.

Can I keep the pieces I make?

Yes, you can take your creation home! After your class, we can glaze and fire your pieces as an add-on. It’ll be ready in about 3–5 weeks. You’re welcome to pick it up, or we can courier it anywhere in New Zealand or overseas. Courier fees apply.

How do I collect my fired pieces?

We’ll notify you via email or text once your work is glazed and ready for pickup or has been picked up by the courier, usually within 3–5 weeks.

What is your cancellation policy?

We offer a full refund if cancelled up to 24 hours before the activity starts.
